If you can’t tell by now, I love to decorate with books… Like a lot. Besides looking dreamy and being big center pieces for your coffee table, these books are also great welcoming items for guests and can be a great conversation starter. My collection of coffee table books has grown quite a bit; especially since launching Refined Ambiance. I have them displayed in different areas throughout my house. So today I am sharing a couple of ways to style coffee table books and create ambiance in your home!
Here’s a list of the coffee table books above:
- Fashion + Music: Fashion Creatives Shaping Pop Culture
- Vogue The Covers
- Styled: Secrets for Arranging Rooms, from Tabletops to Bookshelves
- Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering
- Yes Way Rosé: A Guide to the Pink Wine State of Mind
Some tips I have when purchasing your books are:
- You want them to compliment the color scheme of the space. It should add to the room, not distract from it. So my number one tip when styling coffee table books: choose coffee table books that match your space.
- My next tip would be to purchase books you actually want to read. While they might look nice, you want them to be of good use and worth the money spent.
- My last tip would be, DON’T feel your coffee table books have to stay on the coffee table. You can place them on ottomans, shelves, side tables, and other areas to create the exact ambiance you are looking for!
So what do you think? Have I convinced you to incorporate some books into your existing home decor?
