31 Days of Self Care

July 1st is here! The start of a new month. I don’t know about you, but the days are just flying by for me! I truly can’t believe we are entering the 7th month of 2020. There’s so much going on in the world right now. COVID-19, the deaths of so many Black people across the United States at the hands of police officers, and did I mention COVID-19?

With everything going on on the world, Self care is a huge topic that we should certainly be discussing. I am a huge advocate for it. There is a whole movement of advocates for self care that spans generations. Everyone from Gen X’ers, Xennials, Millenials, Gen Y and Gen Z is talking about self care being a necessity for our mental health and general wellbeing.

In today’s society everything is so fast, stressful and demanding, that maintaining your mental health and actually living a happy life seems like a luxury. But is it really a luxury? I think sometimes practicing self care can seem selfish to others. However, I must say, Self-care has far-reaching benefits for you and everyone in your life

Some people may not see it this way, but those who know how crucial it is to take care of themselves will get it. When you take time to rest and do things that help restore your energy, you’re much healthier on all fronts, which could have a positive impact on everything in your life, from relationships to job performance and negative habits.

So with that being said, I have created a Self Care checklist for the month of July. 31 Days of Self Care at your disposal.
