In the past, I looked at coffee tables as a place in your living room to hold the tv remote or a wine class. But, lately, the words “living room” has never been more accurate and true to my real life. Due to the pandemic and perhaps the universe telling us to have a seat, the living room has become the room to rest in, work in, relax in, or sit and ponder what to do with yourself in. So now more than ever, the coffee table may be in for an overhaul in the style department.
Today, I have gathered some essentials to coffee table styling. I hope you get inspired to create a stylish coffee table with these tips and tricks all under $100!
Books
A pile of hardback books will immediately build height for your table. Use the top to display an object such as a candle or vase for added style. Tip: You can be inspired by 126 Interiors and make your own books using book covers.
Trays and Bowls
A fun and easy way to add dimension to your space is with trays and bowls. Tip: Contrast shapes to really make your space pop. Like I have done below, if you have a square table, add a round tray or vice versa; If you have a round table, add a square tray.
Adding trays and bowls to your coffee table, not only gives your space more dimension, it also gives you more functionality, making it easy to clean or swap out decor pieces for the different seasons.
Decorative Beads
This has become one of my favorite accessories to use. They immediately add a layer of interest giving a room that collected global look. A great display of decorative beads is used below by juliesimplylove. Tip: Juliesimplylove’s styling entails large size beads that make a big statement when layered over books.
So there you have it, some essentials to coffee table styling that will take your decor to the next level for under $100. Comment below with what you use to decorate your coffee table!
