Cherry Berry Sangria

Hey yall! If you’re here its because you decided to stop by and check out my second sangria recipe as part of my #sangriasaturdays campaign. During this campaign I will provide you with a sangria recipe every Saturday for the next 30 days. This week’s sangria is a red wine sangria. I must admit its become one of my favorites. I absolutely love it!

It’s full of fresh cherries, strawberries, and blueberries soaked in brandy. The cherry-cranberry juice and classic red moscato wine combine to make this sangria the perfect Summer cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh black cherries pitted
  • 1 cup strawberries sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup brandy ( I used Paul Masson)
  • 2 cup cherry-cranberry juice or cherry-pomegranate juice
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup
  • Your choice of 750 mml bottle of red wine (I used this)
  • 12 oz sprite of 7 up.

Instructions

  1. In a large sangria pitcher, combine cherries, strawberries, blueberries, brandy, cherry-cranberry juice, and simple. Pour in red wine and stir gently. If desired, you can add sprite or 7 up at this point OR you can wait until after the next step.
  2. Chill sangria for at least two hours before serving. Chilling is very important. The sangria taste its best when chilled.
  3. If you waited to add the lemon-lime soda, add it to the pitcher and gently stir before pouring.

Not only is this Sangria perfect for the summer months with all the fresh berries, but it will be great for the winter months too. Cherries are great all year around.

So what do you think? Will you try it? Let me know if you enjoyed this recipe as much as I did!
