I love to decorate with books. Besides looking dreamy and being big center pieces for your coffee table, these books are also great conversation starters when you have guest.  My collection of coffee table books has grown quite a bit over the years.  I have them displayed in different areas throughout my house. So today I thought I would share with you 8 Black Coffee Table Books worth considering for your home.

1. Crowns I purchased this book last year and immediately placed it in our office. What I love about this book is how it is a reminder of my wife Tiffany’s child hood. This book captures the self-expressions of women of all ages-from young glamorous women to serene but stylish grandmothers.
2. Posing Beauty-One word “speechless”. This book challenges our most fundamental assumptions about what it means to be “beautiful.” There’s over 240 pages of just really great photographs highlighting black beauty.
3. Brown Bohemians– I have this book in our bedroom and its absolutely gorgeous. Brown Bohemians captures the essence and voice of creative people of color.
4. Unseen– I have not purchased this book yet, but it is on my list to purchase soon! This book has unpublished Black History from the New York Times Photo Archives.
5. Wild at Home: How to style and care for beautiful plants– If you are a plant lover like me this is the book for you. This is another book I have in my bedroom. I love the pictures and education provided from this book by Hilton Carter.
6. Rihanna– One word RIHANNA!! This is another book I have not purchased but plan to very soon. What I love about this book is its size! Its dimensions are 17 x 4.3 x 22 inches.
7. Wild Interiors-Another book by Hilton Carter. In his second book he brings his unique eye and love of plants to show you how to create luscious interiors that not only look amazing but are good for your well-being, too.
8. Vintage Black Glamour– This book is a little pricey but definitely worth spending your coin when you are able. This book celebrates some of the most glamorous, inspiring and groundbreaking Black women and men of the 20th century.
